World weary?

Friday I taught my fifth graders about the atlas.  They were fascinated by the story of Atlas and Zeus, as well as the story of Atlas’ brother Prometheus.

I used a Powerpoint I created to compare the atlas to the GPS, and determine which was best to use.  The students thought the GPS would always be best at first, but then discussed the possible downside  of its use.  I was pleasantly surprised with the inferences they made based on use of their parents’ GPS.
